Shako is knocked down and receives count of eight, gets to feet and they carry on boxing with Bakayogo hitting with a straight left and right to the body, into clinch and knocks Shako out; Shako is counted out as crowd cheer and is unable to get up from canvas.

Bakayogo flashed a left hook into his opponent, then stunned him with a right hook to the head, sending the challenger to the canvas.
Shako, who had impressed the crowd with his skilful fighting, stayed down during the count and the decision was given to the champion.
After a slow second round, in which Bakayogo clinched repeatedly, and succeeded in cutting the Zaire boxers left eye, Shako kept his distance and jabbed accurately at his larger opponent.
He was in front on points when the champion finally caught him with the powerful combination in the fourteenth round.
After the fight, Bakayogo praised Shako's courage and skill.
SYNOPSIS: The African Middleweight Championship fight in Dakar, Senegal, on Thursday night between champion Sounkalo Bakayogo of Mali, in the white shorts, and Mamba Shako, of Zaire. The champion managed to cut Shako's left eye during a clinch in the second round. But then the smaller challenger kept his distance, and used intelligent boxing to gain a points lead up to this, the fourteenth round. Shako had impressed the crowd with his agility and skill, but he had no answer for the punching power of Bakayogo, when the champion finally pinned him to a corner.
After the fight the champion praised Shako's courage and said he had been difficult to fight.
