    MLLE. GOITSCHEL HAD AN AGGREGATE TIME OF 103.38 SECONDS FOR TWO RUNS DOWN THE SLALOM COURSE. ANOTHER FRENCH GIRL, ANNIE FAMOSE, WAS SECOND WITH 104.40, AND THIRD PLACE WAS SHARED BY CANADIAN NANCY GREENE AND WENDY ALLEN OF THE U.S.A. EACH WITH 104.68 SECONDS. LATER MISS ALLEN WAS DISQUALIFIED FOR MISSING A GATE IN THE FIRST RUN WHICH HAD 58 GATES AND A VERTICAL DROP OF 170 METRES.

    THE DOUBLE TRIUMPH OF MLLE. GOITSCHEL, OLYMPIC GIANT SLALOM CHAMPION, MADE HER A DECISIVE WINNER OF THE WOMEN'S COMBINED TITLE.

    THE RESULT AT SCHRUNS LEAVES NANCY GREENE OF CANADA STILL IN THE LEAD FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. MISS GREENE HAS 124 POINTS, FOLLOWED BY MLLE. FAMOSE WITH 95 POINTS AND MLLE. GOITSCHEL WITH 90 POINTS.
