    A spectacular display and parade of the Moroccan Royal Combined Forces marked the second anniversary of their creation. It was on March 2nd. 1956 that the French Government granted independence to Morocco and in the following May the Royal Forces came into being.

    The Crown Prince of Morocco, Moulay Hassan, as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces presented them for inspection to H. M. Mahamed V, ruler of Morocco, Column upon column of splendidly uniformed troops marched past the Monarch for the salute.

    The British Ambassador at Rabat and Admiral Sir William Davies, K.C.B., were among the diplomats and invited guests.

    After the parade officers of the Royal Forces were received by the King at his Palace.
