    NIMBUS C, THE NATION'S MOST COMPLEX WEATHER SATELLITE, WAS BLASTED TOWARDS A POLAR ORBIT AT 15:55 A.B. ATOP A THOR AGENA ROCKET. NASA HAS NOT CONFIRMED THAT NIMBUS WAS SUCCESSFULLY PLACED INTO IT PROPER ORBIT, HOWEVER.

    THE LAUNCH WAS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 29TH BUT AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE POSTPONED IT UNTIL LAST FRIDAY. OTHER PROBLEMS FORCED TOW ADDITO??? 24-HOUR POSTPONEMENTS.
