    TRANSCRIPT:

ALI: It is a pleasure to have Senator Haig with us here in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for discussing the urgent need for stability in the area. There is an urgent need for stability and peace and for pushing forward with the whole peace process after the loss of President Sadat. As stated by Vice President Mubarak our policies are the same and nothing has changed, all the agreements that have been signed are much respected and all the agreements for meetings and the schedule for the autonomy talks will take place at the same time. (Goes on to talk about the peace efforts but parts are indistinct)

HAIG: I would just like to say I agree completely with my distinguished colleague the Minister and there have been very helpful discussions in the Ministry. Thank you
