    Background: Guns and armed vehicles of the Jordanian army were much in evidence today when Crown Prince HASSAN and Prime Minister WASFI TEL attended the annual tree planting ceremony at JEBIHA a few miles outside AMMAN. This traditional ceremony was started 25 years ago when King ABDULLA was on the throne. It was simply meant to encourage forestry and for the people to take an interest in horticulture. This peaceful ceremony gave it a warlike setting with the armed vehicles.
