  • Description

The Chief Scout of the Commonwealth, Lord Rowallan, attends a huge rally of boy scouts at Victoria, British Columbia He's greeted by Vancouver Island scouting officials and hundreds of boy scouts gathered at Royal Athletic Bark. A grand display of fieldcrafts awaits Lord Rowalan who's on a five-week tour of Canadian Scouting centres.

Instead of watching the display from the stands as had been planned, the Chief Scout becomes keenly interested and wanders out on to the field. Where he gets a close up look at the boys administering first aid to a "patient," and at others scouts making fire through the ancient ritual of the fire-stick. No temperament from the fire-stick this time .... it works!
Later Lord Rowalan says that what the world needs today more than ever before is that which scouting stands for ... things like its ideal of brotherhood.
