Mr. Jackson Wu, an industrialist, headed the Taiwanese group, and Mr. Bernard Joei, their ambassador to the Ivory Coast, acted as their host.

Wednesday's agreement was signed at the Ministry of Tourism in Abidjan. The Ivory Coast's Minister of State for Tourism, M. Mathieu Ekra, and Taiwanese ambassador Joei signed the document on behalf of their countries.

In a speech after the ceremony, Ambassador Joei spoke of the agreement as being a "modest contribution" to co-operation between the two nations.
