SYNOPSIS: In New Delhi, members of the Delhi Youth Federation marched on the Sudanese Embassy last Wednesday in protest against the executions of 14 Sudanese Communists following the abortive communist coup there.

Police outside the Embassy formed cordon to prevent the students reaching it, but several scuffles broke out. The members of the Delhi Youth Federation, were also criticizing what they called the dictatorial attitude of General Nimeiry and his highhanded way of arresting communist sympathisers.

The Delhi Youth Federation is alleged to be a communist-led organisation. The press in many communist countries, notably the Soviet Union and Bulgaria, have protested strongly against General Nimeiry's handling of the Communist organisation in the Sudan.
