    MR. MAUDLING, WHO HAD SAID HE HOPED TO DISCUSS RHODESIA WITH MR. VORSTER, SAID AFTERWARDS THAT HIS BRIEF VISIT TO SOUTH AFRICA HAD GIVEN HIM A CLEAR PICTURE OF THE POLICIES OF SOUTH AFRICA AND OF THE OBJECTIONS RAISED AGAINST THEM.

    BESIDES MEETING MR. VORSTER HE ALSO HAD TALKS WITH THE LEADERS OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN OPPOSITION PARTIES.
