KONRAD ADENAUER AS HIS BODY LAY IN STATE TODAY (SATURDAY) IN THE CHANCELLERY CABINET ROOM FROM WHICH HE DIRECTED THE GOVERNMENT FOR 14 YEARS FOLLOWING GERMANY'S DEFEAT IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR. THE BODY WAS TAKEN TO THE CHANCELLERY CABINET ROOM TO LIE IN STATE UNTIL TOMORROW NIGHT.

THERE PRESIDENT JOHNSON OF THE UNITED STATES, PRESIDENT DE GAULLE OF FRANCE, AND MR. HAROLD WILSON, THE BRITISH PRIME MINISTER, WILL BE AMONG THE MOURNERS AT REQUIEM MASS.

    DR. ADENAUER'S BODY WILL BE BURIED IN THE FAMILY CRYPT AT RHOENDORF'S VILLAGE CEMETERY WITH ONLY HIS FAMILY PRESENT.
