Background: Visnews June 8 filed Lebanese Premier El-Sayid Rashid Karami at Beirut Airport on arrival beck from Cairo, where he signed an economic agreement with the United Arab Republic June 7.

The agreement settles long standing economic differences with Syria-Egypt's partner in the UAR - . Premier Karami had once before flown to Cairo with the same agreement in mind... but failed. Attempts by UAR Economics Minister Kaissouni on his visit to Beirut recently, also failed to solve the same problem.
