    At the Presidential Palace grounds in Rangoon, November 25, Burmese President U Win Maung held a unique tea party to which came Prime Minister U Mu of Burma, top officers of armed services, diplomatic corps and distinguished citizens.

    The party was held to launch a campaign to raise funds for the forthcoming South East Asian Peninsular games to be held in Burma next year. Among the guests were charming Burmese film stars.

    Half way through, the garden party moved into the Presidential Palace because of rain. The fund drive was launched by the President with a large donation, quickly followed by sums from the guests.
