Background: U.S. back-room boys, who work in close collaboration with Jodrell Bank radio telescope, Cheshire, England, are filmed at work in their mobile trailer, almost in the shadow of the huge telescope, October 29.
As U.S. moon rocket attempts take place, the telescope itself "follows" the missile into space. Data is immediately relayed to the trailer and then sent to the Los Angeles data centre by direct telex lines. Another telex is used to send information to Singapore.
The four-man trailer crew has the task of decoding data from the telescope and recording it both on paper and on a magnetic tape recorder.
The team first went into full-scale action with the attempt on October 11.
Next forecast date for the team to operate is between November 7 and 9.
