    The Duke of Edinburgh, presiding at a meeting of the British Amateur Athletic Board in London May 20, was filmed presenting awards to British athletes whose world records were ratified last year.

    Among them: Miss M.Hiscox for the 440 yards, and 26 year old Derek Ibbotson with a plaque for the one mile record of 3 min 57.2 secs, which he set up at the White City in July 195
    Ibbotson also received a plaque for being a member of the 4 x one mile relay team who recorded a time of 16min.30.6 secs at the White City in September 1958. The other members were M.T.Blasgrove; P.R.Clark and B.S.Hewson.

    Plaques for world records were also presented to Miss M.Weston; Miss D.Hyman; Mrs J.Paul and Miss H.Young for the 4x1100 yards.
