RIOT POLICE, GUIDED BY OBSERVERS FLYING IN HELICOPTERS, FAILED TO PERSUADE THE DEMONSTRATORS TO TAKE DOWN THE BARRICADES.WITHOUT ANY VIOLENCE BREAKING OUT, THE POLICE FINALLY CLEARED THE ROADS THEMSELVES.
