On April 29th, a sever earthquake pounded Maku region of north-west Iran, killing at least 39 people, destroying more than 1000 homes.
Two companies of the fourth Rezaieh division rushed to the "Quake-Stricken" area to assist in rescue operations.
Officials in Red Lion and Sun of Iran announced that adequate relief supplies had been rushed to the area.
Reports say thousand of panic-stricken residents have sought refuge under tents.
