    With the price of oil-fired energy constantly on the increase, many countries are looking towards cheaper methods of power production. In France, scientists are examining ways of harnessing the wind in order to produce electricity.

    For, with the construction of a large new power windmill and this powerhouse, the wind's strength can be convert, into electricity for the nearby towns. The scheme, devised by the State Electricity Company can produce up to 140 kilowatts of power.

    However, power windmills are not being viewed yet as the answer to rising energy prices. For, at a cost of one and a half million frances, this mill can only provide two millionths of France's electricity needs.
