    IN OSLO, THE STRIKE ALSO AFFECTED NEWSPAPER AND PUBLISHING FIRMS. ANOTHER STRIKE HAS BEEN CALLED FOR NOVEMBER 17 BY THE 11,000-MEMBER TRANSPORT WORKERS UNION, AFTER A BREAK-DOWN IN WAGE NEGOTIATIONS.

    THE CURRENT STRIKE FOLLOWS A BREAKDOWN IN NEW WAGE AGREEMENTS AND COMES IN THE MIDDLE OF A MAJOR INFLATION IN NORWAY.

    THIS MONTH THE PRICE OF BREAD ROSE - FOR THE FOURTH TIME SINCE MARCH.
