    FOR THE SECOND TIME IN FOUR DAYS, FLAME WHIPPED THROUGH THE STRUCTURE OF THE MAMMOTH WRIGHT-PATTERSON U.S. AIR FORCE BASE AT DAYTON, OHIO, U.S.A. THE ALARM WAS GIVEN AT 3.30 A.M. ON NOV 25, AND THE FIRE WAS BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL SEVERAL HOURS LATER.

    THE BLAZE DESTROYED THREE BUILDINGS AND DAMAGED THREE OTHERS. IT IS THOUGHT TO HAVE STARTED IN A WORKSHOP WHERE MODELS ARE MADE FOR USE AT COUNTY FAIRS, SCHOOLS AND EXHIBITIONS. THE WOODEN BUILDING WAS DESTROYED WHILE BASE-FIREMEN RACED TO THE SCENE. FLAMES SPREAD, AND TWO NEIGHBOURING BUILDINGS WERE DESTROYED AND THREE OTHERS, INCLUDING A GARAGE, A MILITARY TESTING STATION, AND A STRUCTURE HOUSING, A SNACK BAR AND BOWLING ALLEY, WERE DAMAGED.

    FIVE FIREMEN RECEIVED HOSPITAL TREATMENT. FOUR WERE OVERCOME BY SMOKE AND ANOTHER SUFFERED RECURRENCE OF A LEG INJURY RECEIVED WHILE FIGHTING THE PREVIOUS BLAZE - NOV 22 - WHEN DAMAGE AMOUNTED TO TWO-MILLION DOLLARS. A BASE SPOKESMAN, ASKED IF THERE WAS ANY CONNECTION BETWEEN THE TWO FIRES, SAID: "WHENEVER THERE IS A FIRE ON A MILITARY BASE, THE POSSIBILITY OF SABOTAGE IS INVESTIGATED.
