The announcement of President Eisenhower's forthcoming visit to India has been greatly hailed by the Indian press. Coming at a time when the Indian press was carrying the stories of possibility of military action against China, the visit is going to prove a great booster towards the Indo-American relations.
The time for the President's visit is well chosen. Clear sun and cold days is the weather in Delhi during December. During his stay the President will be the guest of the Indian Govt. and will stay at the Rashtrapati Bhavan (Indian President's House). He will address the Indian Parliament and visit the U.S. Embassy. At Raj Ghat he is expected to lay a wreathe at the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, apart from watching some of the street scenes. It is the first time that any U-S. President is visiting India or for that matter any Asian country.
