    MEMBERS OF THE DELEGATION, FILMED LEFT TO RIGHT, ARE: MR. J. DICKENS, MR. J. PARDOE, MR. TOM DRIBERG, MR. N. FISHER AND MR. J. PAGE.

    THE PROJECTED DEFENCE CUTS WOULD MEAN ABOUT 3,000 CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES OF THE BRITISH FORCES LOSING THEIR JOBS. IT WOULD ALSO MEAN THAT 1,750 OUT OF 2,500 MALTESE SERVICEMEN WOULD BE GIVEN THEIR DISCHARGE PAPERS DURING THE FOUR EAR RUN-DOWN.

    IT HAS BEEN ESTIMATED THAT THE CUTS WOULD INCREASE THE ISLAND'S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE BY BETWEEN 13 AND 16 PER CENT.
