Davis Duty was reunited today with his best friend -- his dog Binney. Now Davis?
Davis Duty was reunited today with his best friend -- his dog Binney. Now Davis can stand confidently at the pavement's edge again ...there will be no more hesitant moments asking someone to help him across the road.
For Binney is Davis Duty's "eyes". And Davis is blind. He came to Britain from America six months ago on a scholarship to study law at London University. With him came faithful Binney, his guide dog for five years.
But when Davis arrived in Britain last September, his dog was taken away from him because dogs from abroad must go into quarantine for six months. So for the time being Davis had to rely on friends taking him about.
Today the quarantine ended. And Davis and Binney went wild with delight as greeted each other at the quarantine kennels at Hackbridge, in Surrey.
Fellow students were there also to give the couple a special student welcome...and our reporter was there too to talk with Davis...SOF...
Anyway, Binney now has four months work in London ahead of her before she returns to the United States with her master.
