    Chang Hsiu-shan of a textile mill in Shanghai can tie knots very quickly. Recently, she has found out an even better way of tying her knots. This she shares with her colleagues including a senior worker who used to be her teacher when she first came to the mill.

    At another cotton dying mill in Shanghai, every is familiar with the two Ai-pao's.

    Li Ai-pao is holder of the mill's highest doffing record.

    Lu Ai-pao, with Li Ai-pao's help, is also coming along fine in doffing ability. The two Ai-pao's came to the mill at the same time and both have been eager students of senior workers. At another cotton mill, Shih Su-chin can tie 47 knots a minute, which is Shanghai's highest record.

    Shih Su-chin has only been serving her apprenticeship for half a year.

    Shih Su-chin is presently working by another contract which she has signed with her worker-teacher with the aim of master all-round operative techniques.

    A mass campaign to emulate the advanced is underway at this mill to raise production to new heights.
