    At a ceremony in the Congo capital of Brazzaville on Friday (29 April), North Korea donated various pieces of laboratory equipment for the Congo Education Ministry.

    The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Technical, Professional and Higher Education and Scientific Research - Jean-Pierre Tshister Tchikaya. Representing North Korea was their Ambassador - Li In Gyu.

    The equipment - valued at GBP60,000 sterling (about 120,000 US dollars) - is destined for a new laboratory in the Ministry. North Korean technicians will also install the equipment before it is used by students from colleges all over the Congo.

    A ribbon was cut by Mr. Tchikaya to mark the handover of the equipment and a tour was made of the new laboratory.
