    AMONG YESTERDAY'S ARRIVALS WAS THE GROUP FROM IRAN, HEADED BY THE SHAH OF IRAN. HE FLEW IN ON THE SAME PLANE AS THE PRESIDENT OF PAKISTAN, YAHYA KHAN, WHO IS LEADING HIS COUNTRY'S DELEGATION THE TWO LEADERS WERE WELCOMED BY KING HASSAN.

    THE KING WAS ALSO AT THE AIRPORT GREET KING FAISAL OF SAUDI ARABIA, WHO PUT FORWARD THE SUGGESTION FOR THE CONFERENCE AFTER THE FIRE AT THE AL AQSA MOSQUE.

    ANOTHER HEAD OF SATE WELCOMED BY KING HASSAN WAS JORDAN'S RULER KING HUSSEIN.

    DURING THE THREE DAYS OF THE MEETING, DELEGATES WILL DISCUSS THE FATE OF THE ISLAMIC HOLY PLACES IN JERUSALEM.

    THREE NOTABLE ABSENTEES FROM THE CONFERENCE ARE SYRIA, WHICH BROKE OFF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH MOROCCO IN 1965, IRAQ, AND U.A.R. PRESIDENT NASSER, WHO IS REPORTED TO BE UNWELL.
