SYNOPSIS: More than 40 Arab and African intellectuals, scholars and economic experts attended the four days of discussions which were organised by the foreign ministry of the United Arab Emirates and Khartoum University in Sudan.

The ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan Ben Mohammed El Qassimi--in the centre of the picture--welcomed the delegates, who included Sudan's Information Minister Mr. Bona Malwal and former Sudanese Foreign Minister Gamal Mohammed Ahmed.
