Background: VISNEWS Feb 4 filmed ambulance and rescue workers helping to extricate trapped victims from beneath the remains of a 200 foot section of a Quebec department store marquee. Two people were killed and ten injured.

A large crane from a nearby building site helped free the victims and later tore down the entire section.

Reason for the collapse...the heavy weight of ice and snow gathered on the marquee roof.
