    East Germany's first Ambassador to Chad has presented his credentials to President Tombalbaye. He is Herr Gerhard Krausse, and at the accreditation ceremony in Fort Lamy last week (Thursday, November II) President Tombalbaye said Chad's international policy was to maintain friendly relations with all peace and freedom-loving countries.

    SYNOPSIS: Fort Lamy, capital of Chad...and the accreditation of East Germany's first Ambassador there.

    The Ambassador in Herr Gerhard Krausse, and he arrived at the accreditation ceremony with Chadian President Francois Tombalbaye.

    Presenting his credentials to the President, Herr Krausse said he and his country were happy to have friendly relations with Chad.

    Replying, President Tombalbaye said Chad's international policy was to maintain friendly relations with all peace and freedom-loving countries, and to respect their internal and external policies. Chad has had diplomatic relations with West Germany since 1964.

    Earlier this month President Tombalbaye sent a message congratulating the Soviet Union on the 54th anniversary of its October revolution.
