    The Soviet delegation to the 14th Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East council meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaya, had some holiday jaunts after and session ended. They visited an aborigine village at Sungei Batang, in the Cameron Highlands, Central Malaya. There are about 130 Senai Tribes in this settlement. The delegation was headed by deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Nicolai Firubin. Dressed in their traditional attire and decorated with wild flowers, the aborigines extended a warm welcome to their visitors and later demonstrated their skill with blow pipes. They also showed their fine arts and put on a traditional dance which was accompanied by native musicians. At a Press Conference after the visit, the Soviet leader, Mr. Firubin, speaking through an interpreter referred to the peoples of Malaya's wonderful, energetic, hard-working and very friendly'.
