Roll I - General shots of Christian Arabs coming from Israel to attend the Christmas Eve in Bethlehem. They are shown in the Israeli Area coming through Mandalbaum Gate which is between Jordan and Israel; it is the only entrance to Jordan from Israel. The coming Arabs are from different towns in Israel which were Arab Towns before the Palestine war. The Arabs are seen in miserable condition, hoping to see their families in Jordan. Many of them had not seen their members of family for ten years.
In the first roll Minister of Interior of Israel is coming to see the families going to Jordan. He is accompanied by the Governor of Jerusalem.
The background of the shots is Israel. Also seen are the remaining ruins of the Arab homes in Palestine.
The comers haver to pass through the police, immigration and customs for formalities, etc.
Roll II - Shots for Crowds of relatives waiting for them in Jerusalem, Jordan. Pathetic and climatic shots for their meetings in which some of them had not seen their brothers or sisters for more than ten years.
General Information: this occasion happens only once a year, for every family to come to Jordan to visit the Holy Places, either at Christmas or Easter. Every person who comes to Jordan is allowed to have one Jordan dinar,which is equal to GBP1 sterling to spend for staying in Jordan, which lasts for 48 hours.
