    Britain gave Patriotic Front leaders 24 hours to reach final agreement at the Rhodesia Peace talks in London, on Friday (14 December). A final session of the talks, now in their fourteenth week was called for Saturday morning (15 December). There was no comment, however on what would happen if the co-leaders, still considering Britain's ceasefire plan,failed to agree. On Thursday (13 December) Dr. Silas Mundawarara, a member of the Muzorewa delegation said as afar as his delegation was concerned the conference was over. and Salisbury's military commander General Peter Walls said the Patriotic Front guerrillas had been beaten and would no longer be able to intensify Rhodesia's seven-year bush war.

    SYNOPSIS: General Walls was asked about the ceasefire.
