    Background: Visnews here shows film in Portsmouth Dockyard of the masts of the Royal Yacht Britannia, being shortened in preparation for Her Majesty the Queen's trip up the St. Lawrence Seaway next year.

    The tops of the foremast and the mainmast, 118 and 123 feet respectively, have been hinged, the foremast at the aerial, and the mainmast at the shroud rings enabling the top twenty feet to be lowered back at an angle of 44 degrees.
