    THE CHIEF OF GENERAL STAFF, VIETNAMESE ARMED FORCES, GENERAL LE VAN TY, WELCOMED GEN. COLLINS WHO WAS TO MEET U.S. AND VIETNAMESE OFFICIALS AND VISIT SEVERAL UNITS OF BOTH COUNTRIES ARMED FORCES IN THE FIELD.

    COLLINS IS MAKING THREE-WEEK TOUR OF U.S. DEFENCE INSTALLATIONS IN THE PACIFIC AND FAR EAST. HE'S DUE TO LEAVE SAIGON JUNE 2 FOR OKINAWA AND HONOLULU.
