    THE "HERALD", WHICH NORMALLY CARRIES A COMPLEMENT OF 50 PASSENGERS, WAS BEING SPECIALLY FITTED TO PROVIDE PRINCE PHILIP WITH A FOLDING WRITING TABLE, PRIVATE TELEPHONE DIRECT TO CREW, COUCH (CONVERTIBLE INTO BED), CARPETING AND OTHER FURNISHINGS.SPECIAL LONG-RANGE FUEL TANKS WERE ATTACHED UNDER THE WINGS.

    AN EXPERIENCED PILOT, PRINCE PHILIP HAS ALREADY BEEN AT THE CONTROLS OF THE JET AIRCRAFT DURING A 25-HOUR COURSE UNDER THE COMPANY'S CHIEF TEST PILOT.FIVE BRITISH EUROPEAN AIRCRAFT PILOTS WILL SHARE FLYING DUTIES ON THE TOUR.

    BRITISH GUIANA IS HIS FIRST STOP ON FEB 7.FROM THERE HE WILL GO TO VENEZUELA; COLOMBIA; ECUADOR; PERU; BOLIVIA; CHILE; PARAGUAY; URUGUAY; BRAZIL AND THE ARGENTINE.
