Background: Preparations are rapidly going ahead to salvage the valuables cargo from the vessel "Pei-Ho", which has been lying with broken back on the rocks off Casablanca since the fierce gales of December last year.

Beneath a cable train, which is being used as a temporary means of running cargo in small loads from ship to shore, works is in the progress on the construction of a temporary jetty which will enable transport to run right up to the ship to offload cargo.

Bulldozers and levellers are making quick work of the job.
