Background: Scottish football star Kenny Dalglish has been signed by European champions Liverpool for a record British transfer fee of GBP400,000 (US dollars 6,000). The former Celtic player is a replacement for Kevin Keegan, who went to Hamburg for GBP500,000 (US dollars 7,500).
