General Dayan said that he was afraid that the next confrontation between Israel and the Arabs would not take place at the peace conference table, but in battle.
He said that he did not think Egypt and its foreign advisors were aiming their efforts at peace.
Air Force Day was marked with displays of aircraft and missiles. Phantom and Mirage jets flew past in formation, and two Skyhawks performed bombing runs during which they also dropped napalm.
Bell helicopters performed aerobatic exercises in front of the review platform.

In addition to the Phantom jet and armoury, the crowds assembled has listened to Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Dayan.

Combat troops were landed in front of the review platform a Super Frelon aircraft as part of the exercises.
Several Bell helicopters flew in display, and then performed aerobatic exercises for the public and officials assembled at the base.
