    PRESIDENT SUKARNO, LEADER OF ONE MILLION INDONESIANS, SAID THAT HIS COUNTRY HAD ACHIEVED RECOGNITION OF ITS RIGHTS TO BE CONSULTED ON CHANGES IN THE STATUS QUO OF SOUTH-EAST ASIA AND ITS RIGHT TO SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SECURITY AND PEACE.

    "THOSE ARE THE RESULTS ACHIEVED BY THE MANILA SUMMIT MEETING WITH REGARD TO THE FORMATION OF MALAYSIA," HE SAID.REFERRING TO THE UNITED NATIONS ASSESSMENT OF MALAYSIA SENTIMENT IN NORTH BORNEO AND SARAWAK, HE SAID THAT "WHATEVER MAY HAPPEN SHORTLY IN NORTH KALIMANTAN (BORNEO)" INDONESIA WAS NOW "NO LONGER TREATED LIKE A DUMMY PUPPET AND ALLOWED TO JUST LOOK ON ALONE AT ALTERATIONS TO THE STATUS QUO IN THE REGION AROUND IT." THE CROWD GAVE HIM A TREMENDOUS RECEPTION.
