While stepping up its aggression and arms expansion and war preparations, US imperism is striking a posture of peace and is flaunting its so-called 'strategy of peace' vainly attempting to benumb the fighting sprit of the people of the world and split the unity in their struggle against imperialism. It is therefore all the more necessary that we strengthen our unity and wage a common struggle against the enemy and strive for even greater victories.
The rally is also addressed by the Brazilian delegate, Miss Maria Aparecida de Faria Pacheco; the Comoro delegate, Mme.Zahara Ibrahim; the Indonesian delegate, Parjani Pradono; the Mozambique delegate; Mme.Prescilla Gumane; the Napalese delegate, Mme.Shashi Kala Sharma; the South Vietnamese delegate, Nguyen Thi Binh; and the Zanzibar delegate, Mmme.Aysha Ali Sultan.
The guest speakers voice the common aspiration and firm will of the women of various countries in opposing imperialist intervention and aggression and in winning and safeguarding national independence. They express regret over the programme of the World Congress of Women held in Moscow which renounces opposition against imperialism. They also express deep regret over the attitude taken by certain leading personages of the Congress which was partial, undemocratic and which polluted the congress atmosphere.
