    THE THREE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH ARABIAN CONSTITUTIONAL COMMISSION SET UP BY THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT HAVE BEEN NAMED. THEY ARE SIR EVELYN HONE, THE LAST BRITISH COLONIAL GOVERNOR OF NORTHERN RHODESIA BEFORE IT BECAME ZAMBIA; MR NOEL COULSON, READER IN ISLAMIC LAW AT LONDON UNIVERSITY; AND MUHAMMED ABU RANNAT, A FORMER CHEF JUSTICE OF THE SUDAN.

    A CERTAIN ELEMENT OF DANGER ATTENDS THEIR MISSION, THE HOUSE OF COMMONS WAS REMINDED YESTERDAY. THE COLONIAL SECRETARY MR GREENWOOD SAID THE SECURITY SITUATION IN ADEN CONTINUED TO GIVE CAUSE FOR ALARM. HE BLAMED WHAT HE CALLED THE EXTERNALLY-CONTROLLED NATIONAL LIBERATION FROM FOR A SUCCESSION OF INCIDENTS IN RECENT WEEKS CAUSING THE DEATHS OF FOUR PEOPLE AND INJURIES TO A NUMBER OF OTHERS.

    SIR EVELYN WILL LEAD THE COMMISSION. HE HAS SERVE IN ADEN FOR MANY YEARS AND KNOWS THE TERRITORY WELL. MR COULSON WILL SHORTLY TAKE THE CHAIR OF LAW AT AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY IN NORTHERN NIGERIA. MUHAMMED ABU RANNAT IS A MEMBERS OF THE UN SUB-COMMISSION ON PREVENTION OF DISCRIMINATION AND PROTECTION OF MINORITIES.
