  • Description

Syria late last night (Sunday)m accused Israeli forces of advancing across the Syria in defiance of the ceasefire agreement reached between to two countries on Saturday night. Latest United Nations reports say U.N. truce observers in the area have been unable to confirm the Syrian charges. Until Syria made the accusations, the ceasefire agreement of Saturday night was seen as an official end to the Middle East War. Some of the heaviest fighting in Syria according to the Syrians took place near the town of Kuneitra, 40 miles from Damascus, the capital.

The cease-fire agreement came after an urgent meeting of the Security Council of Saturday night. Syria claimed it had called the meeting because Israeli troops had captured Kuneitra.

Syria claimed that Damascus had already been bombed, and that Israelis were seeking to occupy the capital. Israel denied taking Kuneitra.

Our film shows Israeli tanks, troops and helicopters moving past the wrecked equipment of the Syrian Army and in the town of Kuneitra.

The Israeli flag was mounted over the police station, and Syrian prisoners were taken. The film also shows Israeli tank movements outside Kuneitra.
