  • Description

SOME THIRTY THOUSAND PEOPLE RENDERED HOMELESS BY RECENT FIRES IN SAIGON, THE CAPITAL OF VIETNAM, STORMED INTO A STREET IN THE KHANH HOI DISTRICT PROTESTING AGAINST ALLEGED COMMUNIST TERRORISTS "WHO BURNED DOWN OUR HOUSES".

CARRYING LARGE ANTI-ARSONISTS BANNERS AND PLACARDS, THE DEMONSTRATORS MARCHED PEACEFULLY, DEMANDING DEATH PENALTIES FOR THE TWO SELF-CONFESSED ARSONISTS WHO WERE PRODUCED BEFORE THE CROWD.

ARMED TROOPS KEPT THE ANGRY DEMONSTRATORS AWAY FROM THE ARRESTED ARSONISTS WHO LATER CONFESSED THEIR CRIME TO THE CROWD THROUGH A MICROPHONE.

A SPEAKER TOLD THE CROWD FROM A PLATFORM MADE UP TO TWO TABLES PILED ON A LORRY, THAT BLOOD-THIRSTY COMMUNISTS HAVE CREPT INTO THEIR STRATEGIC QUARTERS AND HAVE SET FIRE TO THEIR POOR AND HUMBLE HOMES.
