    Eight British pros including Tony Jacklin and 8 leading Japanese pros led by "Jumbo" Ozaki started to clash in second annual Cutty Sark Cup Japan- Britain Golf match opened today at Sagamihara country club east course (7,260- yard par 74 course in Kanagawa prefecture, outside of Tokyo
    The British members are Tony Jacklin, winner of the British open in 1969 and 1970 U.S. open winner, Maurice Bembridge, Bernard Gallacher, Tommy Horton, Brian Huggett, John O'Leary, Peter Oosterhuis, Peter Townsend or Doug McClelland.

    The Japanese competitors are captain Hideo Sugimoto, Masashi Ozaki, who led the local pros in money earning in the past three years. Takashi Murakami, Teruo Sugihara Isao Aoki, Toru Nakamura, Kosaku Shimada and Yoshitaka Yamamoto.

    At stake are team and individual honours.

    In the first meet held last year, Britain won the team title. Japan's World Cupper, Isao Aoki shared individual honours with Peter Townsend, Maurice Bembridge at five-under-par 216s in the first meet.

    Total scores of eight golfers on each side will decide the team competition.

    Last year, the Britons won comfortably by a score of 27 to 21. The visitors took a commanding lead in the first two rounds, 13-3 and 10-6 and the third day the Japanese comeback of 12-4 came too late.

    The total purse is ???20 million (GBP28571), of which ???4,800,000 (GBP 26857) will go to the winning team and ???2,400,000 (GBP 3428) to the losers.

    The individual title winner will get ???4 million, (GBP5714), the runner-up ???2 million (GBP 2857) and the third place ???1,500,000 (2142). An additional prize of ???500,000 (GBP714) will be awarded to any player who scored three straight wins in three days of match play.

    The match will be finished on March 16th.
