INTRODUCTION: Speech by Israel's Chief of Staff, General Mordecai Gur, to the US Israel Bonds group (see press blurb unclosed for full info on this group).

On camera we have Gurs saying problem (of Syrians entering southern Lebanon) is not a simple one, which is why Israel is taking it seriously and everyone knows they are taking it seriously. He talks about the strength of Israel and the Jewish people and says Israel is strong enough to achieve its national goals and to supply the military with what it needs to meet any given situation.

(unfortunately film ran out during last part of this but there's enough)
Storyline: While Israel is taking the entry of Syrian peacekeeping troops into Lebanon seriously, All was Quiet and normal on the border today. So normal in fact that a group of around 300 US Israel Bonds people toured the border, crossed the "Good Fence into Lebanon and chatted with Israeli and Lebanese Christian soldiers. The Lebanese say the Syrian peace keeping force has been moving south in its bid to ??? all "heavy" weapons on all sides. An indication that many heavy weapons are still ??? was given when a lebanese Christian "armoured truck arrived at the border checkpoint while the bonds group was there.
