Background: A privately-owned American schooner is currently anchored in bangkok harbour awaiting instructions for a peace mission to deliver the first toke shipment of American donations to North Vietnam.

The schooner belongs to the American millionaire CONRAD MIKULEC. He claims to have two alternative methods of carrying the supplies through the American Naval blockade against North Vietnamese harbours. The goods, MIKULEC says, can either be offloaded into small boats outside the mined harbours, or else flown in aboard two aircraft he has at his disposal.

The 'Star of Peace' carries a crew of eight - all volunteers.Mr. MIKULEK says they represent a cross-section of middle-class America.

The schooner expects to leave Bangkok on its journey to North Vietnam some time this week.
