Background: 12 British Members of Parliament, arrived in West Berlin (Dec 4) as guests of the West German Government.
Soon after their arrival they were driven to the Schoenberg Rathaus, where they were greeted by the Burgomaster, Herr Willi Brandt. A reception was given in their honour.
At a luncheon later, given by the West Berlin Senate, Mr Ernest Davies (Socialist) made a speech which was objected to by Conservative members of the delegation. Mr Geoffrey Wilson (Conservative) said "I do not think anyone acting as a leader of the delegation should make party political speeches".
