  • Description

Britain, France and the United States were criticised at the United Nations yesterday (October 16) for supporting racist regimes in Africa. The Three Powers were accused of trading with and aiding South Africa, Rhodesia and Portugal's African territories.

Speaking in the United Nations General Assembly, Dr. Okoi Arikpo, Nigeria's Commissioner for External Affairs, claimed the Western Powers had a choice: to stain their hands with the blood of Africans until it could be tolerated no loner, or join in the fight against apartheid and oppression.
