WHEN HE ARRIVED AT LONDON AIRPORT HE WAS ASKED ABOUT THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT'S DENUNCIATION OF UNITED STATES BOMBING POLICY IN NORTH VIETNAM. HE ALSO QUESTIONED ON THE POSSIBILITY OF ANOTHER BRITISH PEACE OFFENSIVE IN THE VIETNAM WAR.

    A BANNER-CARRYING GROUP MET MR. STEWART AS HE STEPPED OFF THE AIRCRAFT ON HIS WAY TO REPORT TO BRITISH PRIME MINISTER HAROLD WILSON ON VIETNAM AND OTHER SOUTH ASIAN DEVELOPMENTS. DIPLOMATIC OBSERVERS FELT MR. STEWART'S REPORT WOULD HELP MR. WILSON IN DECIDING ANY NEW BRITISH DIPLOMATIC INITIATIVE AIMED AT GETTING VIETNAM PEACE TALKS GOING.
