    GREECE'S SHOP WINDOW -- THE SALONIKA TRADE FAIR -- WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED YESTERDAY (SUNDAY) BY THE PRIME MINISTER, M. PIPINELIS. THE OPENING CEREMONY WAS HELD INDOORS AFTER A FIERCE STORM, ACCOMPANIED BY TORRENTIAL RAIN, DROVE PEOPLE TO COVER.

    THE "FAIR" IS GREECE'S MAIN TRADE DISPLAY OF THE YEAR AND HAS LURED EXHIBITORS FROM MANY PARTS OF THE CONTINENT. GREAT BRITAIN AND THE UNITED STATES.

    YESTERDAY'S STORM DAMAGED MANY OF THE INTERNATIONAL PAVILIONS, BUT HAS NOT CURTAILED THE EXHIBITION. BRITAIN HAS ERECTED THE LARGEST PAVILION THERE AND IS REPRESENTED BY 68 FIRMS.

    THE GREEK PRIME MINISTER, WHO ATTENDED THE "FAIR" IN THE COMPANY OF SEVERAL OF HIS MINISTERS, SPOKE OF ITS IMPORTANCE TO GREECE.
